Konstantin V.
In the exhibition halls, Konstantin Valchev's glasswork create their own space, in which they capture, focus, resolve, transform and send out magic signals beyond the visual, creating different illusions. There are idiomatic, tree-dimensional objects of glass, searching for its own expression, through the optic influence of different elements, penetration and refraction of light in shape, textures, abstract geometric shapes. In fact, in his work Valtchev doesn't tell a story but creates and constructs. He reveals the magic power of crystal glass with its ability to generate an endless spectrum of lights and reflections, juxtaposing them with colour and smooth surfaces. The artist's interest is directed towards the evolution of concept of space and its expression via the means of modern technology. Separately and along with putting the emphasis on the constructive, these glass objects are energised by symbolic meaning of different character - from sacred to biologic. The demonstrate the sharp reaction of the modern artist, experiencing the current reality "here" and "now".
